A high-efficiency reflector/concentrator totally bathes the pipette shafts in 254nm UV light using a germicidal UV-C mercury vapour lamp. This exposure eliminates undesired microbial pollutants while preventing cross-contamination in PCR and other sensitive techniques.Â
Simply insert any brand or variety of single-channel pipettes into the nUVaClean and click the "start" button. The auto-decon cycle will be initiated. After completion (about 28 minutes), the unit will power down automatically and produce 6 safe, clean, ready-to-use pipettes.
