Fluorescent ruler
The Fluorescent ruler can be in observing and photographing Ethidium Bromide stained nucleic acid agarose and acrylamide gels. The scale will fluoresce visibly upon illumination with ultraviolet light. This serves as a measure of nucleic acid mobility, and can be used to quantify the sizes of the nucleic acid fragments. This measurement will also allow the comparison of gels run at different times under the same conditions.
The scale is 0 to 6" with 1/16" increments on one edge and 0 to 15cm with 1mm increments on the other.
