Stain used for:
- Weigert's Iron Haematoxylin with Methachromic Dyes for nuclear stain.
- Goldner's Trichrome Method for connective tissue stains – Elastic tissue stain.
- Weigert's Resorcin Fuchsin for staining elastic fibres in blood vessel walls, nuclei & collagen.
- Masson's Trichrome for Connective Tissue, Sheehan and Hrapchak (1980).
- Lillie Modification of Masson's Trichrome for staining of cells, cytoplasm muscle and collagen of mammalian tissue.
- Van Gieson's Method for Collagen Fibres for collagen, muscle and cornified epithelium.
- Periodic Acid Leucofuchsin Method (PAS) for General tissue stain.
- Gridley's Method for Endamoeba Histolytica. For bacteria stain: Amoebae, their nuclei and ingested erythrocytes.
- Truant's Fluorescent Method for Acid Fast - Organism For bacterial stain.
- Maldonado's Method for the staining of alpha, beta, D and Exocrine cells of the islets of langerhans.
