Thompson monolayer embedding mould
This invention is a mould for embedding mammalian cells in monolayer culture in order to prepare for light or electron microscopy sectioning. Traditional BEEM capsules are no longer required thanks to tissue culture monolayer embedding moulds.
The improved moulds can be used to transfer the majority of cells from the entire surface of a cover slip, preventing large amounts of cellular data from being lost at random. Furthermore, other issues such as surface blemishes caused by air entrapment related with BEEM capsules are avoided.
