Micro sieve set

This micro-sieve set consists of a stack of four interchangeable screen-holding sections, a catch pan, and a friction-fit cover. The entire unit is moulded of polypropylene All of the parts of the set are very easy to take apart for changing the mesh insert or for cleaning. Complete with the unit are phosphor-bronzed mesh inserts in the following sizes: 25, 35, 45, 60, 80, 120, 170, and 230 mesh. The holding sections are 51mm ID x 152mm H.Mesh Size Mesh size refers to the number of openings per linear inch.

Directions

  1. Select 4 sizes of mesh screen suitable for your material.
  2. Place the mesh screen inserts in the holding sections with the coarsest mesh in the top section and increasingly finer mesh sizes in lower sections.
  3. Assemble the screen retaining rings into all sections.
  4. Assemble the bottom pan to the lowest holding section.
  5. Fill the top section with the sample to be sieved.
  6. Assemble the top cover to the top section.
  7. Shake the entire unit for several minutes.
  8. Remove the bottom pan to obtain the finest particles.
  9. Check the other sections to determine percentage of each retained particle size.
