Gold chloride solutions (DG)
Gold Chloride solutions are freshly prepared upon receipt of order to ensure maximum shelf life. Gold chloride is used as part of various histology staining methods including:
0.1% solution
- Gomori's Methenamine Silver for Urate Crystals Urate crystals.
- Methenamine Silver Method for Argentaffin Cells for staining of argentaffin granules of enterochromaffin cells.
0.2% solution
- Wilder Modification of Bielschowsky's Method for staining of Collagen and reticulum.
- Jones Method for Kidney, Silver Method for the staining of basement membranes, reticulum fibres, collagen, and nuclei.
- Combined Haematoxylin and Eosin/Methenamine Silver Stain for the fungi in tissue Sections.
1% solution
- Bodian's Protargol Method for neurological tissue stains, nerve fibre and endings.
- Canaliculi and Lacunae Stain, Powers, Rasmussen and Clark (1951) for bones and teeth.
