On both models, the protective aluminium bases reach the entire height of the Dewars.

It is important to remember that the shielded vacuum tip-off tubulations are offset to the side to reduce the amount of space between the Dewar bottoms and magnetic stirrers.

All Wide Mouth variants are available with an exterior metal covering that nearly reaches the top rim of the Dewar (a slight extension of the glass Dewar facilitates pouring). This enclosure offers the security of metal with the efficiency of glass, which is especially useful in handling procedures.

Lab Grade Dewars with narrow mouths are appropriate for short-term storage or room-to-room transportation. Low evaporation cork stopper, fully insulated evacuation tip, weighted bases, and partial aluminium base are all regular characteristics.

For liquid nitrogen service, all lab grade dewars are made of borosilicate glass. A strong mesh cover improves grip, provides cushioning against bumps, and increases protection.
