Cargille immersion oil, type FF (EMS)

Cargille was first to introduce PCB-Free immersion oils in 1972. Though all immersion oils are now PCB free, no other immersion oil meets FDA criteria; and Cargille's exceeds ISO, DIN and all instrument manufacturer's standards.Minimum shelf life of these immersion oils is 5 years and can be twice that.This oil is halogen free, has no odour, and is also nearly free of background fluorescence (Cargille # 1 max.). For optical properties its refractive index is 1.479 at 5893 angstroms which is lower than the ideal 1.515 so image sharpness is less, but probably not noticeably.
