Gold chloride (DG)
Used in histology for staining of nerves. This highly purified gold compound may be used for the preparation of colloidal gold solutions. Golden-yellow to reddish, highly hygroscopic, crystals. Deteriorates readily in UV light, is caustic on skin, dissolves well in water and alcohol.
Chloroauric acid; hydrogen tetrachloroaurate; gold trichloride, acid.
Assay 99.9985%. Gold content 49%+.
