Perfect loop set, ultra thin

The Perfect Loop is used to easily place ultra-thin sections on specimen grids without folds. It is the only loop presently offered where the loop's external diameter is the same as the grid, and the internal diameter is slightly bigger than the electron microscopes observational area.The thickness is roughly 40µm. Because the loop and the grid have the very same diameter they are attracted with each other when in water and fasten together through the surface tension of the water.

However if the section hits the inside of the grid while the touching area is being blotted is minor and therefore the section is not harmed. Upon removal of the grid from the loop the section remains intact without fail. The area equals the electron microscopes observation field (about 2mm diameter); therefore pieces can be adequately identified.
