DMP (2,2-Dimethoxypropane) (DG)
Used as a dehydration agent. DMP (2,2-Dimethoxypropane, is a quick material for quickly processing tissue preparations for SEM and TEM. Initial dehydration with ethanol or acetone is recommended. DMP acts by chemically converting any remaining water to acetone. So complete dehydration is assured without special efforts to dry acetone or ethanol to achieve complete dehydration. Â
