Perfect for use in fume hoods, environmental studies, or for air flow check. A highly accurate, hand-held unit, only 3oz. Allows you to select readout in knots, feet per minute, meters per second, or miles per hour. To insure maximum sensitivity and accuracy, the turbine is suspended on sapphire jewel bearings, and its rotation is sensed by an infrared light beam, which adds no friction. The resulting signal is processed electrically by an LSI (Large Scale Integrated) circuit.
